OCCWC

The first time I went to the OCCWC was in 2015. It was held at a church in Santa Ana that year and they happily celebrated their 30th anniversary. I didn’t think I would know anyone at the conference, but it turned out I connected with a church friend who was surprised to see me there! I learned a lot of useful information about the art of writing. The faculty members who had been enlisted for the conference workshops shared from their personal experiences as well as their professional expertise. Attendees received tools to make us more effective writers. Best of all, it is where I met Kathi Macias. The Lord used the Orange County Christian Writer’s Conference in 2015 to get me on the path He had planned for me long ago.

In 2016, I wasn’t able to attend because we were in the middle of selling our house.

This year, 2017, the OCCWC is at the Anaheim convention center. It begins tomorrow morning (April 21st) with registration at 8 am and goes through Saturday at 4:30 pm (April 22nd). I look forward to spending time with my mentor and editor, Kathy Macias, who has helped me with my Sky Blue Trilogy since we connected at the 2015 OCCWC. (My very first post on this blog tells how God worked it all out by His grace.)

With Antonio Crawford’s direction, and the wonderful faculty who serve this year, every writer can return home with new ideas, new courage, and renewed hope that all things are possible with God. I know that to be fact. He is faithful and kind! Isaiah 25:1 (NCV), “Lord, You are my God. I honor You and praise You, because You have done amazing things. You have always done what You said You would do; You have done what You planned long ago.”

Thank you to my new Anaheim OCCWC friendsĀ  from this weekend who are reading my blog for the first time. May God richly bless you in your writing!

To God be the Glory!

Hi Karol! How exciting. . . A new path in God’s Plan for your life! I can’t wait to start reading your trilogy! I so enjoy reading this genre — faith-based novels , as well as learning about a different country’s cultures, history & lifestyles! Looking forward to begin. “My journey” is in your writings. God bless you!
