Autumn has always been my favorite time of year. In southern California where I live autumn days can resemble summer. But autumn in Sapporo, Japan, was (and is) breathtaking! Several weeks of beautiful scenery before everything turns white in winter.
As a school teacher under contract in my 20’s, I loved each September when I met my new students. This past year in my retirement I signed a contract for the first time to write a gentle fiction trilogy about God’s love for the Japanese, in particular, Eiko, her family and friends.
When the contract was signed on November 1st, 2016, I had a manuscript for the first book that needed help and titles for two more. It is amazing what God has done in my life in just twelve months. The trilogy is now finished and my contract fulfilled. Bamboo Green, the conclusion to the Sky Blue Trilogy, will be both surprising and satisfying. It is my prayer that you will be delighted as you see what God has done in one year of Eiko’s life throughout the series.
God’s timing is amazing! Bamboo Green debuts on October 17th. It is part of the blessings of autumn I will always be thankful to the Lord for.
For His Glory
